Very cool idea: the city of Montreal decided to relaunch itself as "The City of Glass", and enlisted as partners most museums in town, plus some galleries, theaters and even Concordia University.
The museums are offering the Montreal Museums Pass, which entitles visitors to discounts. The pass can be bought with a flexible three-day option (with or without transportation packages).

In practical terms, Montréal "becoming" the city of glass doesn't mean all that much, from what I can tell, other than some glass-centered art exhibits, with pieces that are quite beautiful:
As far as branding goes.... great job!
Not only does the "City of Glass" have a very nicely designed website, but it is also on Facebook and Twitter.
Now THAT'S how social media marketing is done right. Impressive!
